Project

The Eland project originated in 1997 with the EADI IMWG meeting in Paris.

Latest draft outline paper
This was prepared after the Brussels meeting as a concept note for discussion.

The approach differs from the original idea in piloting parts of the system to link catalogues, some document delivery and transaction cost recovery.

To ensure transparency in the project information about the project and stages are distributed through the EADI network and also through ICCDA members to other groups around the world. The project is intended to offer simple coordination of access to collections with a small scale approach with the possibility to link systems together to offer access to a whole range of development libraries and others.
